SPRING 2017 AUDITIONS HAVE PASSED.

Every year, we look for new members to not only fill out our sound, but to expand our singing family. We always hold auditions in the beginning of the fall semester, and depending on the size of the group, we may hold auditions in the spring as well. Before every audition, you can find us at the Emerson Organization Fair to sign up for an audition slot, or come for a walk-in audition.

Each audition time slot is 5 minutes long. Please contact acappellicsanonymous@gmail.com for questions you may have.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN THE AUDITIONS?
​
You will need to prepare a verse and chorus of any song of your choice! We may ask if you have any skills in reading music, arranging music, or if you can beatbox! If you can spit out some beats, we would love to hear it!

After your audition, we will notify you via email if you are invited to our callbacks the next day!

CAN I AUDITION FOR MULTIPLE GROUPS?

Yes! The Emerson Acappella Council coordinates communication between all four groups, and will arrange so that you can attend multiple callbacks if needed. It is ultimate your choice which group you would like to join.

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO JOIN ACAPPELLICS ANONYMOUS?
​
Because of the size of the group, we often only hold auditions in the fall. It changes every year how many new voices we need, but the group is generally between 15 and 18 members. Emerson is incredibly talented, so it is very competitive and difficult to select new voices to our sound!
​
WHAT ARE REHEARSALS LIKE?
​
We will rehearse usually on a weeknight for two hours, and then on Sunday for three hours, often in the Paramount studios. There are strict policies for unexcused absences that will be explained to new members during the first rehearsal.
